We have all been waiting with anticipation for the Government to announce the outcome of the latest consultation. At the Women in Building and Construction event on 13 July 2017, the Queensland Minister for Housing and Public Works, Mick de Brenni, shared that the first reading of the Bill will be in August 2017.
The Minister indicated that changes will be made to the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 and the Subcontractors’ Charges Act 1974.
